Overview
The Cisco PowerVu® Administration and Troubleshooting (PVUADM) Training Version 1.0 instructor-led course offered by Cisco® Learning Services teaches you how to perform advanced tasks, including configuring and troubleshooting a Cisco PowerVu system. In this course you learn how to configure devices through the Cisco PowerVu Network Centre Control server, perform server administrative tasks, such as performing basic UNIX commands, back up the database, and restart the system. You’ll also learn how to perform basic troubleshooting by reviewing available tools and verifying the signal and the configuration from the signal input into the encoders to the signal reception at the decoders, as well as explore simulcrypt, statistical multiplexing (statmux), and Digital Program Insertion (DPI) advanced features and verify the Cisco Live Event Controller (LEC) server status and manage schedules with the Cisco LEC.
This course is offered remotely; however, considerably more hands-on opportunity is available at the Cisco Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA, training facility where the Cisco PowerVu training lab is located.
Objectives
Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:
- Perform important server administrative tasks, which include user management, data replication, shutting down and restarting the system, and performing regular backups
