Overview

The Cisco PowerVu® Server Operations Training (PVUOPS) version 1.0 instructor-led course offered by Cisco® Learning Services teaches you how to operate the Cisco PowerVu Network Centre Control server. This course teaches you how to use the Cisco PowerVu Network Centre interface, view and configure devices through the Cisco PowerVu Network Centre, search for and view decoders, view and configure virtual channels and events, view uplink parameters, and monitor transactions and diagnostics.

Objectives

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

  • Describe functions of the Cisco PowerVu system and PowerVu Network Centre server, use the Cisco PowerVu Network Centre client to display devices, search for decoders, and manipulate the decoder management tree
  • Manage uplink signal equipment and settings, including viewing and creating virtual channels and events
  • Manage decoders by performing searches, adding and configuring decoders, downloading application code, and cross-authorizing decoders
  • Monitor the Cisco PowerVu system with transactions, diagnostic events, and alarm features
